The 3D preview is a realistic visual approximation for design and presentation — not a colour-accurate proof. Colour, DPI and readability analysis are computed from your uploaded raster artwork; vector/PDF files are accepted for quoting but previewed using your dimensions. Finishes (matte, gloss, soft-touch, spot UV, foil) are simulated. Confirm colour and print-ready files with your printer before production.

Turn your artwork into a 3D packaging mockup

The 3D packaging mockup generator lets you upload your design and instantly see it printed on a realistic, rotatable box — no software, no sign-up. It’s built for packaging buyers, designers, print companies, brand owners and e-commerce teams who want to visualise packaging before production, catch problems early, and share a polished preview with their team or supplier.

    Step by step

How to make a 3D packaging mockup

    1. Upload your artwork. PNG, JPG, WEBP or SVG (PDF/AI/EPS accepted for quoting).
    2. Pick the box and size. Choose a packaging type, enter L×W×H, and select a material.
    3. Inspect in 3D. Rotate, zoom, switch faces, and toggle finishes like matte, gloss or foil.
    4. Review the analysis. Palette, resolution, print DPI, contrast and AI design feedback.
    5. Download or get a quote. Save the mockup and report, or request an expert review.
    What it checks

    Real artwork analysis, not guesswork

Colour paletteExtracts your dominant colours with HEX, RGB, a CMYK approximation, the nearest Pantone, and how much of the design each colour covers.
Resolution & print DPIReads your image size and estimates the effective DPI at your chosen dimensions, warning you if it’s too low for crisp print.
Readability & contrastMeasures the contrast between your top colours so text and logos stay legible on shelf.
Design quality scoreA 0–100 score from resolution, colour and readability, with clear, actionable fixes.

    Tips

Get a better mockup & print result

Design at 300 DPIBuild artwork at the real printed size so it stays sharp; the tool flags low-resolution files.
Add bleed & safe zoneRun artwork 3 mm past every edge and keep key text 3 mm inside the trim.
Mind contrastKeep strong contrast between text and background so it reads on a busy shelf.
Plan finishes earlyFoil and spot UV need separate mask layers — decide before final artwork.
    FAQ

    3D packaging visualizer FAQ

How does the 3D packaging visualizer work?
Your artwork is mapped as a texture onto a real 3D box rendered in your browser with WebGL. You can rotate, zoom and switch faces, change the size and material, and toggle finishes to preview the packaging before production.
    What file formats are supported?
PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP and SVG preview directly and are analysed; PDF, AI and EPS are accepted for quoting and previewed using your entered dimensions.
    Can I upload PDF artwork?
Yes, for quoting and attachment. PDFs aren’t rendered on the 3D box in-browser — export a PNG, JPG or SVG for a live preview.
    Can I preview corrugated packaging?
Yes — choose corrugated, kraft, rigid, SBS and more, and the box updates its colour and surface for mailers, shipping boxes, cartons and rigid boxes.
    Can I export mockups?
Yes — download a PNG of the 3D mockup at the current angle and a branded PDF report with specs, palette, quality analysis and the image.
Can I preview spot UV and foil stamping?
You can toggle matte, gloss, soft-touch, spot UV and foil and the surface changes sheen to simulate them. These are approximations; foil/spot UV need a mask layer in production.
Is the colour on screen accurate for printing?
No screen mockup is a colour-accurate proof — monitors are RGB, printing is CMYK/Pantone, and substrate and finish shift colour. Use it for layout, then confirm with a physical proof.
What does the colour analysis show?
It extracts your dominant colours with HEX, RGB, a CMYK approximation, the nearest Pantone, and each colour’s coverage percentage.
What is a good resolution or DPI for packaging?
Aim for ~300 DPI at the final printed size. The tool estimates effective DPI from your image and dimensions and warns if it’s too low.
Can I get a packaging quote?
Yes — the quote form sends your details with the box type, dimensions, material, finishes and analysis summary so we can review and quote. Reply with your print-ready file to proceed.
Is the tool free and do I need an account?
It’s completely free with no sign-up — upload, preview, analyse and download without an account.
    Does it work on mobile?
Yes — drag to rotate, pinch to zoom on modern phones and tablets. Very old browsers without WebGL still get analysis, cost and quote features.
Will my artwork be stored or shared?
Preview and analysis run in your browser. Artwork is only sent to us if you request a quote, and your data is used only to respond, per our privacy policy.
